Lovett’s World Famous
Meat Pies
''Lovett's World Famous Meat Pies'' (January 2022) by Svenja Kosmalski
inspired by John Logans ''Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'' created for ''SUBVERTED hero*ines'' // BA costume design class by Prof. Anna Wübber University of applied science Hamburg From a queer-feminist perspective, the movie questions the stereotypical representation of people read as cis-male or -female in Tim Burton's ''Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street''. Playing with the viewer's individual association, the piece explores the relationship as well as the business between Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett without any depiction of violence.
